LEMA, school board, to offer evacuation transportation

The latest projected path of Hurricane Irma.

The Liberty County Emergency Management Agency will provide transportation for people who cannot evacuate on their own, according to a press release sent Friday morning.

Here's the release:

The Liberty County Emergency Management Agency, in conjunction with the Board of Education, will provide transportation for anyone that can not evacuate on their own. The evacuation assembly area is at 800 Tupelo Trail, Hinesville. (Shuman Recreation Center)

 

The manifest time is 1 p.m. and the buses are scheduled to depart at 2 p.m. today. Please make sure you bring your medications, and a three day supply of clothing. If you don’t have transportation, you need to meet at your city hall by noon or pick up by Liberty Transit. Pets must be in a carrier, food and shot records must accompany the pet.
