A 3-year-old boy was killed in a vehicle accident on Highway 196 near Hayfield Road shortly after 3 p.m. Wednesday.

According to Long County Volunteer Fire and Rescue Firefighter Bob Heffley, two vehicles collided head on. causing one of the vehicles to roll over several times and eject the boy. The other vehicle struck the rear of a log truck.  Both drivers were transported to Liberty Regional with unknown injuries.
