The Ludowici/Long County Fire Department recently bought two new fire trucks and added them to their fleet. The department bought a 1987 KME engine that holds 500 gallons and can pump 1,250 gallons per minute and a 1983 engine that holds 1,000 gallons of water and can pump 1,250 gallons per minute.

The fire department has six stations throughout the county with an engine and supporting vehicles and equipment at each station.
