Superintendent to speak at chamber lunch

The Progress Through People Luncheon is a monthly event organized by the Liberty County Chamber of Commerce.

The Liberty County Chamber of Commerce will host a Progress Through People Luncheon at noon Thursday, Aug. 17, at the Liberty County Performing Arts Center located at 2140 E. Oglethorpe Hwy in Flemington. The event is sponsored by Webster University.

The luncheon will feature a year-in-review of the Liberty County School System school year 2016-17 and the direction for the upcoming 2017-18 school year. Interim School Superintendent of Liberty County Schools Dr. Perry Franklin will be featured speaker.

The cost is $15 for chamber members and $20 for non-members. RSVP by Monday, Aug. 14 by calling 912-368-4445 or emailing operations@libertycounty.org.
