Traffic stop ends in huge drug bust

 A traffic stop on Dunlevie Road around 1:30 am Sunday lead police on a short chase and a huge drug bust. 

According to Liberty County Sheriffs Office Public Information Officer, Christina Tuten, Raymond Hodge, is alleged to have fled from a LCSO Deputy who was attempting to initiate a traffic stop due to Hodge's failure to maintain his lane.  Hodge is accused of leading the deputy in a pursuit which ended in Glenn Brook Mobile Home Park on Dunlevie Road.  

When police searched Hodge he  was found to be in possession of what was later determined to be marijuana.  A search of the vehicle also resulted in an amount of suspected cocaine to be discovered as well as a larger amount of marijuana. 

When Hodge was booked into the Liberty County Jail, another small amount of suspected cocaine was located intermingled with the items removed from his pockets.  Hodge was charged with DUI, Fleeing and Attempting to Elude, Possession with intent- Marijuana, Possession of a Control Substance, Crossing the Guard Line and several additional traffic violations.

His bond is currently set at $28,813.00.
