Georgia Department of Transportation maintenance crews will seal cracks on the surface of Highway 84 westbound between Fleming and Midway in Liberty County from 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, Jan. 21-22, weather permitting. Sealing pavement cracks prevents water from entering the base and sub-base of the roadway and extends the pavement life by at least three years. Signs, barrels and/or cones will be used to alert the public of changes. Personnel and equipment will be operating in close proximity to travel lanes, and drivers should proceed with caution.
