A man was shot and killed in a Wilkins Road home this evening, Aug. 12.

Liberty County Sheriff's deputies responded to a report of a shooting at about 7:30 tonight on the 300 block of Wilkins Road, according to LCSO. Capt. Tracy Jennings.

Deputies found a man that had apparently been shot to death. A suspect, who was on the scene of the shooting, has been detained.

Authorities are not releasing any further information at this time.
