More than 135 players participated in the Commanding General's Golf Scramble at the Hunter Golf Course, March 28.
According to Tommie McArthur, the head golf professional/manager at Hunter, the turnout brought in 35 teams and resulted in one of the biggest scrambles he has witnessed with players coming from Fort Stewart, Hunter and the civilian sector.
The top overall team that won the 'Championship Flight,' included Travis Mobley, Fort Stewart-Hunter Army Airfield garrison executive officer; Col. Kevin Gregory, Stewart-Hunter garrison commander; Mark Germonprez, Stewart-Hunter Directorate of Family, Morale, Welfare and Recreation director and Command Sgt. Maj. Louis Felicioni, Stewart-Hunter command sergeant major.
McArthur said the Garrison Commander Golf Scramble, April 11, is signing up players now. If you want to reserve your spot, call him at 912-315-9115.
