Military convoys Thursday and Friday will cause traffic delays on Fort Stewart highways.
The Fort Stewart-Hunter Army Airfield Transportation Division, Directorate of Logistics, announced Wednesday that delays should be expected because of convoys moving from Fort Stewart to Ocean Terminal, Savannah, Thursday, September 20, from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Friday, September 21, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The routes these convoys will be traveling is Georgia 144 to I-95 North, I-16 to I-516, exiting onto the West Lathrop exit.
Drivers are asked to use caution during this time and to use alternate routes where possible.
