A community listening session will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 17, at the Liberty County Performing Arts Center, 2140 E. Oglethorpe Highway in Flemington on force reduction at Fort Stewart/HAAF.
A group of command leaders from Washington, D.C., will visit Hinesville and Fort Stewart/Hunter Army Airfield to listen to members of the community, evaluate the impact the installation has on the region from an economic standpoint and assess the quality of life and the strategic asset that Fort Stewart represents. This is the first stop of many for these leaders as they go around the nation to visit installations that may be impacted by downsizing.
All Coastal Georgia residents are encouraged to attend and support Fort Stewart/HAAF. For information on the session, call 876-3564.
