A man who was reported missing in Liberty County over the weekend has died at an undisclosed hospital according to Liberty County Sheriff’s Office Detective Kitchings.

On Saturday, the LCSO asked for the public’s help to find Robert E. Schlief. He was last seen in December and neighbors became concerned when they had not seen him and his car remained in the parkway.

It was discovered later that Schlief had passed away within the past 30 days at an undisclosed hospital. He apparently had no close relatives in the area.
