Col. Bryan J. Bonnema assumed command of the 3rd Infantry Division's 1st Brigade in a ceremony at Hohenfels Training Area, Hohenfels, Bavaria, Germany on May 28. Col. Bonnema succeeds Col. James Armstrong. There was also a change of responsibility as the brigade welcomed new command sergeant major Command Sgt. Maj. Gregory Sawyer.
