A driver was killed in a multi-car accident Thursday near exit 87 South bound in Richmond Hill.

Two tractor trailers and three passenger vehicles were involved.  A tractor trailer and a passenger vehicle apparently caught on fire killing the driver of the passenger vehicle.  One vehicle went over the side of an overpass and landed on railroad tracks operated by CSX.  As of press time, one lane was open allowing traffic to move near the accident scene.  Five people were transported to local area hospitals with unknown injuries.
