The water temperature is beginning to rise and the King and Spanish Mackerel should begin to migrate back to the South giving us a better opportunity for a good catch of mackerel off shore in a few weeks. The tides begin to improve and will run in the six- foot range for the first 12 days of April which means some good trout fishing. The shrimp is expected to move back into our waters around the beginning of May to the middle of June, which always improves the fishing in our area. And the Bass should be plentiful around July.
Our fishing report comes from Rayburn Goodman of Yellow Bluff Fishing Camp. He reported the fishermen are landing some whiting and sheephead. No reports on any trout catches yet and as soon as we get information about shrimp we will let you know.
Just remember if you do go fishing, always keep a tight line.
