Power has been restored in parts of downtown Hinesville after an outage that lasted about 40 minutes Wednesday night. 

The outage impacted about 1,250 customers, according to the Georgia Power website. The outage may have been due to a tree limb falling on  power lines during Wednesday's storms causing  tree limbs. Power was also out on Highway 84 and police had to direct traffic at several intersections.
