A Hinesville woman, Charise Frasier, 30, was killed in a single-car accident early this morning, according to Georgia State Patrol Trooper A.M. Cheney .

The accident occurred on George Swindell Road in Long County about 1:40 a.m. Friday. It was the third fatal accident that involved Liberty County residents in the past week.

There were three other people in the vehicle, a woman and two children. They have not been identified. The Georgia State Patrol is reporting that they were taken to a hospital and treated for injuries. The children were released, while the woman was admitted for treatment.

Cheney said Frasier is a military spouse, but had few other details about her and said the wreck is still under investigation. An initial report gave her name incorrectly.

There will be more details in Sunday's Coastal Courier.

Last Thursday night, a child darted in front of a pickup being driven a Gum Branch woman near Statesboro. The pickup struck and killed the child and his grandmother who had chased him onto the road.

Tuesday night, a 19-year-old woman apparently didn't see an oncoming pickup and pulled onto Highway 17 from Barrington Ferry Road into the truck's path. The resulting crash killed the woman and a 10-year-old in her car.
