Liberty County Sheriff Steve Sikes reports that an arrest in connection with the slaying last Monday of James Jones, 62, was made Monday morning at a Midway diner.

Jones’s body was found beside his parked truck on Freedman Grove Road in the Fleming community. He had apparently been shot.

A name has not been released nor charges.
