An arrest has been made in connection with several bomb threats that have targeted Hinesville businesses the past few days.

According to Hinesville Police Department Detective Nollie Bentley, authorities arrested Heather Renee Brown, 19, of Allenhurst, on Thursday and charged her with one count of offering to use an explosive device. No explosives were found in Brown's possession at the time of her arrest.

Brown is accused of placing an ad on Craigslist last week about a possible bomb threat at Walmart in Hinesville. The store was evacuated.

On Tuesday, Brown allegedly placed another ad, this time targeting Walmart, Lowes and Wendy's. Authorities made a sweep of those businesses and found no explosives.

With cooperation from Craigslist and Verizon Wireless, Bentley said authorities were able to apprehend Brown.

In a separate incident, the Hinesville CVS drugstore and several CVS stores and a Walgreens in Savannah were the targets of bomb threats Thursday. Brown has not been implicated in that incident.
