Hinesville attorney Jeffery L. Arnold was chosen Monday for a judgeship on the State Court of Long County by Gov. Sonny Perdue’s Judicial Nominating Commission.
The judgeship became vacant when Judge Richard D. Phillips died in late February at his home in Ludowici. Phillips had served as the Long County state judge since 1964. He also was the attorney for the Long County Board of Education and the city of Ludowici.
