City EMS and teams assessing damage

The City of Hinesville has reported that the fire department and EMS are back in full response, and linemen crews from Georgia Power, Coastal EMC and Canoochee EMC will be working on power outages.

Teams are out assessing the damage from Hurricane Matthew and responding to incidents and calls that could not be responded to during the storm.

Those who evacuated are asked to not re-enter the city because of multiple trees and power lines down, making the roads dangerous and impassable.

Please do not call 911 unless there is a true emergency. To report down trees call 912-368-2202.

The police department and other teams are continuing to patrol the city to report damage to emergency management.
