Leonard Turner and his canine partner, Chase, attend the Midway Volunteer Fire Department open house Tuesday. Chase is part of the Eastern District’s search and rescue team and was involved in the search for a lost person in the Magnolia Manor area and a missing girl search in Pooler. He can track and search by air scent. Chase is training to be a cadaver dog. Doug Salsberg from the Richmond Hill Police Department is helping the pair with their training.  At home, Chase is just another member of the family, Turner said.
