JESUP — The Georgia Department of Transportation has announced that all scheduled and ongoing construction-related lane closures on interstates and major state routes in Southeast Georgia would be suspended for the holidays until 5 a.m. Jan. 2.
Some work may continue on lesser-traveled state and local system roads and that incident or emergency maintenance-related lane closures could become necessary on any route. The department reminds travelers to exercise caution and limit distractions while driving.
