A Tuesday evening fire heavily damaged a mobile home in Hinesville, displacing the man who lived in the single-wide structure.

The blaze, which broke out at Shady Oaks Mobile Home Park in the 1100 block of West Oglethorpe Highway, was reported to 911 shortly after 6 p.m. Firefighters from the Hinesville Fire Department responded within minutes and quickly brought the fire under control after forcing the front door open.

No one was home at the time, and the fire was contained to the kitchen area, according to Lt. Gene Long.

No injuries were reported.
