A 3-year-old Fort Stewart girl was struck by a vehicle outside a Hinesville hotel at a birthday party Saturday night.
The child, who has not been identified, sustained non-life threatening injuries when she was struck while stepping off of a curb in the parking lot of the Country Inn and Suites on East Gen. Stewart Way around 7:30 p.m. She was walking with a parent and was hit when she got loose and stepped off the curb as the vehicle was passing, according to Hinesville Police traffic investigator Jeremy Craig.
The child was flown to Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah because of bleeding from her mouth.
According to Craig, the girl was alert and talking to emergency medical personnel is the helicopter.
