Congressman Jack Kingston (R-Savannah) is urging fire departments to apply for Fire Prevention and Safety Grants available through the Department of Homeland Security.
“The application period is open through November so I encourage fire departments to apply now,” Congressman Kingston said. “These grants can be used for all sorts of education programs to help keep communities safe.”

They also support innovative fire prevention solutions such as code enforcement and awareness, wildfire prevention, juvenile fire setter intervention, burn prevention, sprinkler awareness, or smoke alarm distribution
The application period for awards under the FP&S Grants Program closes on Nov. 30.
