An Allenhurst woman is wanted by the Long County Sheriff’s Office for allegedly firing shots at another woman last week.
LCSO Investigator Tom Sollosi said that at around 5:30 p.m. Aug. 20, Shanika Jean Blackwell reportedly fired several shots at Tracy Octavia Rogers as the two drove near each other in Country Manor Mobile Home Park.
Rogers told Sollosi that she and Blackwell had been involved in a fight Aug. 19 at the Colleseum Sports Palace and Grill in Hinesville.
The next day at around 5:30 p.m., Sollosi said, Blackwell was allegedly driving her 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer near Rogers’ home. The detective said Rogers was riding as a passenger in another car. Her father, Terrence Maurice Rogers, was driving. The two reportedly saw Blackwell driving by Rogers’ home.
Sollosi said Terrence Rogers was driving his car toward Blackwell’s Trailblazer when someone allegedly rolled down a window in Blackwell’s vehicle, raised a pistol and fired the weapon several times in Tracy Octavia Rogers’ direction. Terrence Rogers said he then sped away.
Sollosi, who investigated the incident, said an apparent bullet indentation was found on a mobile home near where the Rogers say they were when the shots were fired.
“From the location of where the bullet indentation is, it appears that the trajectory of the bullet would have been consistent with the statements of the victims,” the investigator said. “At this point, the primary focus of our investigation is Ms. Blackwell.”
Anyone with information regarding the incident or Blackwell’s whereabouts should call the LCSO at 545-2118.
