The Ludowici Police Department and the Georgia State Patrol continued their crackdown on speeding, impaired-driving and occupant-protection violations Thursday through the 100 Days of Heat campaign, which is the largest and most comprehensive traffic education and enforcement campaign in Georgia’s history, according to gahighwaysafety.org.
The two law-enforcement agencies conducted a roadside check on McDonald Avenue in support of the program, which began May 23 and will continue through Labor Day.
