LUDOWICI - Another drug bust took place this in a traffic stop here. It was on March 2.
According to information provided by Ludowici Police Department, Officer Frankie Goff at around 4:40 a.m. Sunday saw a vehicle that appeared to have an illegal degree of a window tint, and pulled the driver over.
The driver, Terry Lamont Nelson, age 25, pulled his Buick Electra over and then, according to Goff, consented to be searched.  The dog unit from the Long County Sheriff's Department was called in to assist.
During the search, officers found the Jesup resident to be in possession of six plastic bags in his front pants pocket, which contained a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana.
Nelson was then arrested and charged with felony possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute.  According to Goff the Jesup resident was then processed and turned over to the LCSD to await bond.
According to LPD Officer Sal Genualdi, a state certified marijuana examiner will test the substance suspected of being marijuana.
