Path predictions for Hurricane Maria are good news for Coastal Georgia.
The storm has left a path of destruction across several Caribbean islands, but the National Hurricane Center predictions are that it will be pushed more and more to the northeast, away from the Southeast.
In a nod to any storm’s unpredictability the Liberty County Emergency Management Agency said in a 2 p.m. message that it was monitoring the storm’s progress. The center forecasts that it will be a hurricane for the next five days, but weakening is expected.
