Robbery suspects


An investigation led the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office to three arrests in connection with an armed robbery on Nov. 8 in Midway.
On that evening around 9, deputies responded to an armed robbery reported at Celebrate Beverage Center, 21 Isle of Wight Road.
The investigation led to the arrest of Tyquan Brown, 21, and Jonathan Ferrell, 22, both from Midway, and Samore’a Bacon, 21, of Hinesville.
Ferrell and Bacon were arrested on Jan. 31. Brown was arrested last Friday.

School lockdown

Long County High School was briefly on lockdown Monday morning after a mother called to report her daughter might have had a gun at school.
No gun was found according to Long County Schools Superintendent Robert Waters.
Waters said the school followed normal protocol and the lockdown was lifted prior to the beginning of second period.
