Structure fire, April 30
Live Oak Church Road, Hinesville

A small grease fire started in the kitchen of a mobile home on Live Oak Road, causing some damage to the inside of the residence. The family evacuated the home and a neighbor used a fire extinguisher on the blaze until the fire department arrived. No injuries were reported.

Civil matter, April 23
Arnold Drive, Walthourville

A woman reported her landlord continues to harass her with threats of evictions for no apparent reason; and that he was trying to collect money for fraudulent services and damages, and makes repeated calls to her home.

Burglary, April 25
Oglethorpe Hwy., Hinesville

Someone broke into Liberty Auto brokers and made off with about $13,000 worth of tools and equipment. Deputies found one of the business’ doors unlocked and a padlocked removed from the main room inside the building.

DUI, April 29
Hwy. 84, Allenhurst

Deputies saw a white Ford truck weaving and stopped it. During questioning, the driver admitted he had a few mixed drinks about an hour earlier. He was arrested and taken to Liberty County jail where a breath test revealed he had .11 grams of alcohol in his system.
