One person has been killed and two more injured in a shooting in Hinesville Friday night.
Police are investigating at a house the 600 block of South Main. It happened shortly after 11 p.m. So officers are still at the scene and have few details to give to the public.
HPD Chief of Detectives Maj. Thomas Cribbs said there was a card party at the home when at least one person arrived, came in and started shooting. It was not clear what started the shooting. It is possible that robbery was the motive, he said.
A reporter at the scene said two people were taken to a hospital, one by stretcher to an ambulance and another who walked out of the house.
We hope to have more on the crime in Sunday’s Coastal Courier.
