Many of the police cars running around Hinesville with sirens blaring Thursday were part of an exercise.
And they could continue Friday.
Hinesville Police Department officers are training with their counterparts on Fort Stewart and other surrounding civilian agencies.
This readiness exercise is to help the HPD test its emergency response.
As part of this exercise, residents of Hinesville and the surrounding area are asked to report any suspicious activity they may observe, especially in areas such as public utilities, governmental agencies, schools and other areas where people gather.
To report suspicious activity, call the Hinesville/Liberty 911 Center on the non-emergency line at 369-3911.
