Shortly before 9 this evening, a woman who was believed to be trying to cross Highway 84 at Gen. Screven Way was hit and kiled by a vehicle traveling west.
The woman was taken to Liberty Regional Medical Center where she was pronounced dead, according to Hinesville Police Traffic Investigator Sgt. Mike Mooney.
The driver, who has not been identified, was driving a late model Mustang. The woman landed on the car’s hood and struck the windshield on the passenger side, shattering it.
The woman did not have and identification on her, Mooney said.
