LifeStar flew a woman to a Savannah hospital for injuries sustained in a wreck Tuesday on Highway 196 in Gum Branch.
According to the incident report filed by Georgia State Patrol Trooper Jason Lewis, Susan Waters, 47, was driving west 196 when she lost control of her Chevy Silverado on a curve.
Waters drove partially off the road and lost control when she tried to get back on the pavement. Her truck crossed both lanes, went off the road and into the wood line striking several trees.
Waters sustained back injuries and was taken by helicopter to Memorial Hospital in Savannah. She is expected to be released soon, according to her husband. No other injuries were reported in connection with the wreck.
