The Liberty County School System is currently seeking a new Chief Operations Officer after current COO, Jason Rogers, gave notice that he is leaving the LCSS for another job.

Rogers confirmed to the Courier that he has accepted the position of Assistant Superintendent with Bryan County Schools.

“I will start with them July 1st,” he said.

The LCSS posted the open position on Indeed.com in early May. However citing personnel matters Central Office staff said they are unable to comment on the matter.
