SAVANNAH – Sally Scott, an established veteran in marketing, sales and relationship building, has been named the Director of Revenue for Morris Multimedia Inc.’s Southeast Georgia group.
Scott’s appointment to the position became effective August 18. In her new role, she will join Morris Multimedia’s SE Georgia leadership team and serve as head of revenue growth and process development for all five markets – Bulloch, Bryan, Effingham, Liberty, and Tattnall counties -- reporting directly to Beth Freeman, Regional General Manager.
Scott will work across the Southeast Georgia Region to grow the value of each client relationship. She will work alongside account executives in the field — joining client meetings, prospecting together, and supporting renewals and expansions. She also will facilitate collaboration with editorial, production, and marketing teams.
“We look forward to Sally assuming this new role, leading the drive for growth, facilitating regional and departmental collaboration, and streamlining our sales processes,” Freeman said. “Her experience will prove a valuable asset to our team.”
Scott’s experience includes prospect and portfolio management, promotions, business development, customer service and data analysis. She holds a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Management and a Masters of Business Administration from Georgia Southern University, where she is also a faculty member in the Parker College of Business Management.
Scott held the positions of Director of Marketing and Public Relations for the Georgia Southern Business Innovation Group from October 2021 through August 2022 and Director of Development for the University’s Athletic Foundation from February 2017 through August 2020, having begun her career with the Athletic Foundation in 2012.
With the Athletic Foundation, she was responsible for overseeing all proposals and gift agreements and the development of officer’s portfolios having created the guidelines for major gift planning, portfolio management, and best practices. She also served on GSU’s Strategic Planning committee.
She was part of the team that created and implemented Transition 20 to support Georgia Southern’s move from the Football Championship Subdivision to the Football Bowl Subdivision. In addition to the Athletic Foundation, she held the position of Director of Development at Georgia Southern University’s College of Health and Human Sciences.
She also has consulted with The Hubach Group of Savannah to create and implement a strategic plan for branding, marketing, and social media, while also defining standard operating procedures for the company’s daily operations.
“Sally knows this region, and she knows how to build,” said Charles H. Morris Jr., owner of Morris Multimedia. “She has grown programs from the ground up, and she has done it the right way, through real relationships. Growing our advertiser base across five counties takes exactly that, and I am confident she is the right person leading it.”
Scott also founded the nonprofit organization, Lift As You Grow, an organization that empowers vulnerable and at-risk women by providing economic mobility through transitional employment and adult education as well as a safe space for a healing.
As a 2016 recipient of Georgia Southern University’s 40 Under 40, Scott is also a graduate of the 2016 Lynda B. Williamson Women’s Leadership Academy and 2019 Leadership Bulloch. She was a board member of Statesboro’s Downtown Rotary and a member of the University’s Capital Campaign Committee and the University and Athletics Strategic Planning Committee.
