AASU lecture by former Iran hostage

The Armstrong Center for Professional and Continuing Education will host a free open house on Wednesday, Sept. 9, from 4-6:30 p.m. at 13040 Abercorn St., Savannah.
Armstrong Atlantic State University professor and author William Daugherty will make presentations at 4:30 and 5:30. Daugherty, one of 53 hostages kept in captivity for 444 days during the Iranian hostage crisis in 1979-1980, will present “The Iranian Elections, Related Issues and the Future.”
Instructors and staff will present information about fall continuing education courses, professional certificate programs and the center as a venue for events. Classes are offered in many areas to help advance professional skills or discover new leisurely pursuits.
