A new international trailer for "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" has surfaced, proving that the force is in fact awakening. Or, at least, the ad campaign is.

Potential spoilers follow, as this trailer does contain a lot more talking from the characters than the domestic trailer released in October.

The international trailer opens with a shot of one of the new protagonists, Rey, standing in front of a crashed Star Destroyer. She is then seen finding and talking to the droid BB-8 on the desert planet of Jakku. They talk about where the droid came from, and Rey reveals that she has been waiting for my family.

There has been speculation among fans as to whether or not Rey and the new villain Kylo Ren are related, following a storyline in the now defunct Expanded-Universe of Star Wars books that came out before Disney bought the franchise. The trailer, which features Rey talking wistfully of her family, is unlikely to douse the flames of speculation, despite a new shot of Kylo Ren holding his cross-guard lightsaber to Reys neck.

The First Order, a sort of remnant left over from the Galactic Empire in the original trilogy, is then seen descending on what appears to be Reys village on Jakku, with tie fighters and stormtroopers causing mayhem and setting things on fire.

We also get a glimpse of C3-PO and Princess (Queen?) Leia with new character Poe Dameron in a Resistance some sort of new good guy organization based off of the Rebel Alliance command center.

A new scene of Chewbacca is also included, showing him pressing the detonator that apparently leads to an explosion on a First Order ship, a scene that we saw in the domestic trailer, but is given more meaning in the international one.

The trailer ends with the mysterious voice we heard in the first trailer saying, Hope is not lost today. It is found.

For Star Wars fans, more excitement has definitely been found.
