The City of Hinesville will begin a project in downtown to repair infrastructure and beautify the section of South Main Street from Central Avenue to Hendy Street.

This project will include several road closures to through traffic on South Main Street. While the traffic patterns will be altered, access to all properties along the route will be maintained.

The first interruption to traffic will be a road closure for replacement of storm drain, crossing of South Main Street. This closure will begin on Thursday, November 16, and remain closed through Sunday, November 19.

Proper road closure and detour signage will be posted prior to closure.

Additional closures will be scheduled over the next six months during the construction period. Future notifications will be posted prior.
