

The Liberty County Narcotics Unit on Thursday arrested two women on drug charges, according to Capt. Sasha Krumnow.
Rosaleen Fonseca Behnke, who also went by Leena Fonseca is charged with distribution of methamphetamine.
She was arrested without incident at a local mobile home park.
Authorities said when narcotic officers executed a search
warrant of the mobile home they discovered methamphetamine in excess of 50
grams, along with packaging materials and other drug related objects.
A second woman identified as Joy Leidh was arrested for possession
of methamphetamine and giving a false name. She was later discovered to be a
federal fugitive, authorities said.
Both women are being held at the Liberty County Jail.
The agents were assisted by the Department of Community
Supervision
Behnke had an active warrant through Liberty County for the sale
of methamphetamine prior to her arrest.
Sheriff Sikes and the Liberty County Narcotics Unit thanked
thanked concerned citizens who made these arrests possible.
Sikes said, “Combating the drug epidemic and bringing the people who distribute these poisons to justice is not possible without cooperation between Law Enforcement and the communities we serve. Only together will we continue to see successes in holding these criminals accountable.”
