Week-long exercise to test installations' emergency responses
Guardian Exercise

Fort Stewart-Hunter Army Airfield conducts its full-scale exercise — Stewart-Hunter Guardian — this week, Dec. 5-9. The full-scale exercise is designed to practice the installation’s emergency response.

The Big Voice public warning system will be used; exercise announcements will begin and end with “exercise.”

Both Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield will have exercise locations that will affect traffic patterns. This exercise will increase first responder actions across the installation. Motorists should remain alert and drive with caution and are asked to follow the directions of law enforcement or medical personnel responding to the exercise if they encounter a traffic control point.

Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield officials anticipate traffic delays due to rerouted traffic patterns and traffic control points. Installation access control points may be affected.
