Youth Leaders learn about public education

The Liberty County Chamber of Commerce 2019-2020 Young Adult Liberty Leaders (YALL) class had their Public Education session on Thursday, Jan. 30, hosted by the Liberty County School System.

Student leaders were able to gain insight into preparing for college FAFSA-Financial Aid, as well as receive a complete overview of the Liberty County School System and the programs that will benefit them in pursuing their academic goals. The class received a tour of the Board of Education building, and also learned about self-care, managing stress and effective communication.

Young Adult Liberty Leaders is an intense 9-month class, in which class participants meet at least once per month and learn about various functions of the community to include: County Government, City Government, Public Health, Public Education, Tourism, Economic Development and much more.
