Editor, As with all articles dealing with taxes, I read the “MidCoast Regional Airport finalizes budget proposal” with great interest.
Under sources of income, I see no revenue generated from user fees or landing fees. This should be immediately implemented to relieve the general funds (taxpayers) of the obligation to support this enterprise with some $109,386 in tax dollars, which has an extremely limited value to the average Liberty County taxpayer.
I recently visited the MidCoast Regional Airport and noted that it is a very palatial venture for an entity that does not offer a single commercial passenger flight to the citizenry of our county.
