Recycle It! Fairs in three places Saturday
Keep Liberty Beautiful logo

Calling all pack rats who are looking to reform, next Saturday we will have our quarterly Recycle It! Fairs as well as a Shred It!

All those items stuffed in closets and storage rooms are begging to go so they can start new lives as recycled products.

Why should you be recycling?

Recycling conserves natural resources. Many resources will not last forever, so let’s use them wisely.

Recycling conserves up to 95 percent of water used to mine and manufacture many materials.

Recycling prevents waste from going into oceans.

Recycling also reduces the use of fossil fuel energy and reduces CO2 emissions.

At the fairs we accept items not accepted at the county’s recycling centers, from electronics to motor oil.

The fairs will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at:

• Liberty County Health Department, 1113 E. Oglethorpe Highway, Flemington

• Liberty County Community Complex, 9397 E. Oglethorpe, Midway

• Walthourville City Hall, 222 Busbee Dr., Shred It! Event will be here.
