Greetings everyone.

My name is Patrick Underwood Sr. I wanted to take a moment to address the concerns of many Liberty County constituents, parents, coaches, educators, law enforcement, city officials and social media friends, in regards to me running for a position on the Liberty County Board of Education (District 1) or for any public office. 

While, I am truly humbled by the community outpour of support, after long thoughts and consideration, prayers for God’s guidance, and discussing it with my wife Wendy Underwood and family, unfortunately I’ve decided not to run in this year’s 2020 election at this time. 

However, I am requesting that everyone will continue to support me as I continue to seek Gods guidance in the future as it relates to this matter. 

And I’m also requesting everyone who supports me will also join me in voting for Dr. Joe E. Kelly Sr. for the Liberty County Board of Education District 2 seat. 

I’ve always prided myself on seeking who was the best/better candidate to represent our Liberty County School district. 

Dr. Kelly brings a plethora of educational experience and service to our students (over 51 years to be exact). And I believe Dr. Joe Kelly has proven to be dedicated, and that his expertise will serve well for all in efforts to galvanize the community into one unit to focus on how we can enhance the educational opportunities for all students. As Joe said, ”Our Liberty County students deserve the best we have to offer.” 

He’s definitely the BEST candidate and I’m asking for everyone to VOTE for Joe Kelly District 2 Board of Education seat.
