Thanks for Old Lions reunion
Letter to editor

Editor, I’m writing to praise all of those who planned and carried out the Bradwell Institute Old Lions reunion Saturday, Nov. 16, at the Dorchester Village Civic Center.
I had the privilege of being involved in only a very small part of the planning process. Those who did the major planning for this wonderful event worked for months on it, and I must say they thought of everything necessary to make the 500 or more people who attended very comfortable and safe.
There were many volunteers — more than I could name individually. They helped us park and gave us rides in golf carts back and forth from the parking area to the civic center as we needed them. Sheriff’s office personnel stayed in place throughout the evening to be sure we could safely cross the road and drive in and out of the parking area.
And the food! There were numerous places inside and outside the civic center with tables filled with fresh, delicious food. We had plenty to eat and drink, and we didn’t lack for places to sit and talk while we caught up with classmates and shared memories we had collected over these many years.
I just can’t say enough good things about those who worked so hard for so many months to plan every detail of this wonderful event. Their thoughtful and careful planning made it so special for all of us.
To each and every one, I would like to say thank you!
