Area players set for All-Star Games
Liberty County High Schools Sidney Wilkinson is one of three area players selected for a an area All-Stat Game on Saturday.

Three area soccer players will play in the 2015 Coastal Empire All-Star Games on Saturday afternoon at Daffin Park in Savannah.
Liberty County High School’s Sidney Wilkinson and Long County High School’s Nakia Hunter and Megan Higgason will join 57 other players who made the final cut out of 93 girls nominated to try out for the event. Those players in the tournament will be divided among three teams to play in a round-robin format.
Games are to start at noon, 1 and
2 p.m. There also will be games for the sophomore/junior and senior boys at
3 and 5 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults
13 and older, $3 for kids and free for any kid wearing a soccer jersey.
“These games offer players in southeast Georgia the opportunity to be scouted by college coaches who normally would not see them play. At this time, there are several committees from multiple colleges to attend the games,” Long County High School Athletic Director Swindell said.
