BI and Toombs scoreless

Senior linebacker Isiah Barnes saw limited playing time in Fridays scrimmage against Toombs County due to a leg injury hes recovering from.

Bradwell Institute held the Toombs County Bulldogs scoreless in Friday night’s preseason scrimmage in Lyons.
The Tigers mounted a strong defensive front despite senior linebacker Isiah Barnes’ limited playing time.
Barnes slightly injured his leg during practice last week and is expected to rest it ahead of the Aug. 29 season-opener against visiting Liberty County.
The Tigers, however, didn’t break the plane offensively, which also kept them off the scoreboard.
Once the nervous tension settled, the Tigers moved the ball with incoming sophomore Duane Johnson taking the snaps.
The Tigers have two weeks to correct miscues before hosting the Panthers.
Attempts to reach the Tiger coaching staff for game stats and comments were unsuccessful before press time.

Next up for Bradwell

The Tigers will play their season-opener Aug. 29.
• Opponent: Liberty Co. Panthers
• Time: Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m.
• Place: Olvey Field
