Bradwell Institute’s Lady Tigers ran away with a victory against the Lady Jenkins Warriors Friday night at home, easily downing the visitors 70-35.

The boys’ varsity put up a fight against a Warrior team that got its first win of the season beating the Tigers 56-51.

According to Tiger coach Pete Woodard his squad maintained control throughout the game until midway in the fourth quarter.

"We started the game, but we just didn’t finish it," he said. "We missed too many freethrows toward the end the came back on us."

They boys are 1-6 overall and 0-2 region 3-AAAAA.

Coach Faye Baker said her Lady Tigers were led by Mariah Maternik and Seandre Lee. The duo have been combining for passes and buckets throughout the season, keeping the girls undefeated at 7-0 overall and 2-0 in the region.

Baker said they ran an effective press and played well in the second, third and fourth quarter for the win.
